Small Victories: Weekend Edition

fourzoasAfter the long weekend, I suppose it's only natural that I should feel this one was too short.
Yesterday I chilled at home and then Steve and I took another walk (see previous YANA post for details). Steve bought me a delicious icy Peach Nehi. I hadn't had one of those in years!
Today I cooked, which is a major feat; Steve graciously does most of the shopping and pretty much all of the cooking. But today I made gumbo--the weather is just right for it now. Nothing more beautiful than this sight when the chill of fall is in the air:
That's pretty much it; I uploaded the 6th chapter of "I'll Meet You" and have been sketching out a bit more of it. I've also starting thinking more about my NaNo plans and took some photos yesterday of a potential setting for part of a story (either for NaNo or a DW thing). Tonight I've got a hot date with Jane Austen (!!!).
